Cel shading is just cool
So about a couple of weeks ago I wanted to spice up my blender renders. You see I'm going for a more toony approach when it comes to my style, but for some reason my render always looked so bland and flat. I honestly had no idea what to do.
That was until I discover NPR and the different types of shaders they use to help spice up art/animations that isn't realistic one of which was cel shading. So I decided to go with it and the result was something I really liked

Both the cel-shading and outline really ties this together, but honestly while I was making this blog I was feeling that the cel-shading could of been better I mean it's not bad, but it just lacked a certain je ne sais quoi.
Come to found out it just didn't pop out that much I was looking for something more bright and more toony if that makes sense. So I decided to go with the standard cel-shading method which looked great, but there was a problem with it and it was how it didn't react to color lighting.

I was about to give up and just go back to my original method until I discovered a Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCplB3zvQks&pp=ygUTYmxlbmRlciBjZWwgc2hhZGluZw%3D%3D
I decided to give it a go and good freaking lord it is such a massive glow up

Honestly this blog was just going to be about how much I love cel-shading, but in the end I found a way to improve my cel-shading and it just looks so much better and I'm a big fan on how it looks.
