Consuming art feels so much better when I don't go online for opinions

Man eating a pizza with the caption: Little Caesar's taste so good when u ain't got a bitch in ya ear telling you it's nasty

This image basically sums up my entire feeling about consuming media without going online. Recently I've been trying more and more to avoid people's opinions on stuff1 and honestly it feels SO FREAKING FREEING!

Talking about any piece of media online is just a shit experience

Picture this you go to watch a movie, What's it? IDK picture anything 2. After this you have some thoughts about it maybe you loved it, maybe you hated it, maybe even think that's mid.

You go online to share your thoughts and engage in some healthy good faith discussions about said thing (*snrk* on the internet? yea right).

Instead you get a ton of bullshit argument about if this movie is the worse thing imaginable, or if it's a cinematic masterpiece. Some bullshit about wokeness, something about the movie being problematic based off of vibes. Don't forget the mountain of meaningless buzz words tossed around

In a hopeless attempt you try to throw in your two cents only for people to dog pile you because you're bootlicker who like low quality garbage, or an idiot for not seeing how great this movie is.

You think things can't get worse, but you thought wrong nigga! Now there's a fandom and any hope talking about the movie is now just gone.

Now you get shipping wars, Pro vs Anti garbage, Power scaling, Theories that make no sense, thousands of teenagers, or mentally teenagers participating in a shit flinging contest.

All the while you're just sitting there pleading... BEGGING! just to talk about the movie.

Everything I said here is a slight exaggeration with my experience talking about anything online.

BUT WAIT! there's a solution!

Simply just not looking for any opinions or take about the thing you just watch is the solution.

Sounds too easy and stupid to work, but it does! recently been trying to get into watching more movies and this feels so relaxing.

Example I recently watched the movie 12 angry men and this is what I mean! I watched the movie felt so many things and after it finished. I formed my own ideas, and thoughts about what I watched.

My favorite juror 3, my idea for what the message was, my thoughts on the camera work, My favorite parts, every single little thought about the movie was though of MYSELF!

Nobody screaming at me for my thoughts on the movie, why I like X part, calling me an idiot or a dumbass for my opinions everything is just store nicely in my head and feels satisfying.

It feels like I'm walking through a flower field dancing with puppies and kittens with a double rainbow in the distance. THAT GOOD!

There's still one slight detriment though, but luckily with a fix.

Despite all my praises for not going online there is one minor problem depending on who you are, which is sometimes you want to share your thoughts on a piece of media, maybe you want to talk about why you like certain parts of a game, but hate other parts.

You also miss out on having a second pair of eyes sometime you miss out on certain messages, themes, idea, and somebody else bringing it up can make you think "Oh wait! yo, I didn't think of that, that's cool".

But like I mentioned there's a fix I have a friend I'm calling them eight, where they said something that really make sense to me and I'm surprised I ain't think of it sooner

"The best way to talk about different art pieces is to just talk about it with a small group of friends"

Yes simple now, but hearing that for the first time kind of blew my mind. You get all the benefits of talking with people about this type of stuff. Different ideas, viewpoints, opinions, in a healthy manner. Without none of the mountains of crap that I mentioned earlier in this blog.

So all in all I really recommend ignoring the internet when it come to Consuming any piece of art. You feel much better, and less stress with the urge to sieze infants and dash them against rocks 4
