Random Long Rambles

Project progress thing #3

I'm going to be real I didn't really do much today, mostly because for some reason I wasn't really feeling it...

In fact I didn't do anything until about like 30 minutes ago mostly because I knew that if I didn't I would feel shit about myself then it would be a whole thing where it cycles into me not doing anything because I'm still beating myself up for not doing anything.

So I got on blender and force myself to do a couple of things. Small things, but still something none the less so I wouldn't feel that I wasted the day or something along those lines.

For one I added a little floor under the ring mostly so that the whole floor wouldn't just be wood and break it up a bit.

Next I tweaked the animation for the two characters I animated by moving all the connected bones by 2 frames. 1

Lastly I added some flies the tutorial I watched was a bit funny in the sense that he used a image texture of a fly to texture the flies which is a bit strange because the flies are so small you can get away with just making them black and nobody be none the wiser 2

Funny thing was that I was actually lowkey started to get in the groove when I was working, but I had to put a stop to it, mostly because it's currently 9:30 and I usually like to sleep at about 10-11.3

Lowkey I kind of learned something about this which is how when it comes to doing anything I need to force myself to do something in order to get into the groove of things.

Mistake of today was waiting for the time where I feel energized to do something. Which don't get me wrong is a great motivator, but sometimes you'll need to just grit your teeth and get past the uncomfortable period for a few minutes in order to really get into the flow.

Overall not much done, but I'm still happy because once again some progress no matter how little is way better than no progress at all.

  1. If you don't know what I mean imagine I have an arm rig with a bicep, elbow, and hand bone and I want the entire arm to move so I keyframe it at frame 24. This is a bad idea as doing so would make the arm look stiff. instead you have the bicep move at frame 24, elbow move at frame 26, and hand move at frame 28 to make it look smoother. Sounds complicated, but all you need to know is that all I had to do was move a bunch of dots forward by 2-4 frames.

  2. Unless you are dealing with a fly lover who will personally hunt you down if you don't make the flies look like flies or something idk.

  3. To the shock of everybody not only am I an artist, but an artist with a healthy sleep schedule HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!?
