Vince staples "Cry Baby" Tomorrow!
I'm honestly so hype for this album ngl and from the few songs on the album that he dropped before and the music videos for said songs this is going to go hard and speak absolutely nothing but facts.
From what he said about the album it seems like it going to focus less on individuality and working on yourself and more so his rage against the U.S. treatment on black folks.
As for what my favorite is so far hard to say, Blackberry marmalade has that rage I love in this type of music, and White Flag has the more bassy funk I like in music, but (And this is probably recency bias) I have to give it to cotton.
The disco sounding instrumental tied with the absolutely filthy bass created this weird groovy yet dark tone that sounds great and perfectly ties in with the message of the song. My favorite part has got to be the bridge of though
"Dance for me, dance for me I wanna see you dance for me, dance for me I wanna see you dance for me, dance for me I wanna see you dance for me, dance for me I love to see you move for me, groove for me I wanna see you move for me, groove for me Lemme see you move for me, groove for me I wanna see you move for me, groove for me I wanna see you"
This once again ties in greatly with the dark tone that sounds optimist and uplifting at first. But reading into the line and looking at the rest of the song it could mean a lot of things what I got is how it's expected for black people to just ignore the way they are getting treated, play along, and don't ask questions, just dance and keep on dancing.
Also the album cover is just Chef kiss

I might maybe probably perchance do a review of some sort going over my thoughts on the album, but don't expect it since I'm am in no way a music reviewer and can't really say much except "This sounds good"
